Our co-curricular physical activity and sport programme at Amity is wide ranging and aims to develop a greater attachment for pupils to the core values of Amity School and provide opportunities for ALL through our innovative Participation, Choice and Performance Sport model.
Participation, Choice and Performance Sport Model (PCP)
At Amity we recognise that pupils will have different aspirations and abilities and as such we must provide opportunities for all. The PCP model, our very own performance pyramid, enables us to have clear pathways for all levels of participants and develop the lifelong passion that we, as educators, aspire for within our pupils.
Stage Descriptors
- Performance
Targeted sportsmen and women who are part of our performance squads, including pupils who are part of our Elite Player Pathway. - Choice

Elite Player Pathway
The Elite Player Pathway is an innovative programme aimed at supporting our elite athletes. Itis based around the four-corner Long Term Athlete Development Plan (LTAD). At the heart of the programme is the notion of individual development within a team environment, supported by principles of long-term athlete development.
