Amity International School provides an engaging and challenging learning environment where students are encouraged to excel intellectually, academically and socially.

How do we do this?

We nurture our students’ natural desires to learn with a personalised educational programme, project-based learning and guided enquiry. These promote the development of independent thinking, critical analysis, emotional intelligence and essential communication skills.

Our values

Every community needs guiding pillars to be successful. We believe in inspiring excellence, encouraging togetherness, creating collaboration and celebrating diversity.

As Amity continues to develop through innovation and expansion of its academic and co-curricular provision, it remains true to its founding values & the importance of individual happiness is core to the school's ethos.

We inspire excellence

By encouraging each other to have high standards and be the best we can be, we move towards becoming outstanding.

We encourage children to achieve greatness in an environment where ambition is instilled, aspiration is encouraged and students are trusted and given opportunity to take responsibility to realise their goals.

We celebrate and appreciate that academic achievement is important to open doors to opportunities beyond Amity. However, we also believe that having the confidence and emotional intelligence to approach challenges with commitment and enthusiasm, as well as a healthy personal well-being, is just as important in determining future success and happiness.

How does this influence our students?

Students become ambitious, not only academically, but physically and creatively as well.

We believe in togetherness

When we work together, we can go above and beyond our expectations.

Our students see themselves as being at the centre of an education which is for them and with them, not to them, by their teacher and their parents.

Students work with staff and school leaders to develop the school and its educational provision. Similarly, our parents are encouraged to have an active role in the school improvement. Together we all help to ensure our school is the best it can be.

How does this influence our students?

They feel empowered and become intellectually curious. It also encourages them to be enterprising and entrepreneurial.

We create collaboration

We inspire each other towards efficiently achieving a common goal.

We do this by encouraging our students to develop maturity, humility, and other interpersonal skills required to work well with others. Students collaborate academically as well as creatively in a play, enterprise activity, society, debate, team sport or on the playground. Our co-curricular programme adds enrichment and opportunity for nurturing collaboration, creativity, leadership, initiative, and friendship as well as personal, physical and emotional well-being.

How does this influence our students?

Students understand that the whole is often greater than the sum of its parts and that fear of failure, that can otherwise stifle opportunity, can be diminished when working well together.

We celebrate diversity

Everyone is different and unique in their own way. We understand and recognise this.

Our students are treated as individuals within a supportive and caring community, fully committed to promoting equality and diversity in all aspects of life. Amity, as our name suggests, holds the importance of friendship and community as a core feature of our ethos. Our pastoral systems help ensure students have a happy, safe and inclusive environment, which provides them with a sense of fulfillment and achievement.

How does this influence our students?

Girls and boys understand, respect and appreciate each other within our co-educational community. By fostering a sense of social responsibility and an open-minded and outward-looking mentality, they’re better able to adopt a positive role in serving not only their local community in Abu Dhabi, but the UAE and beyond.
