Admissions to FS2 and upwards are dependent on a Transfer Certificate to ensure continuity of education for every child.  This is particularly important when transferring from a different curriculum.

The next step for admissions

To give your child the best education and learning environment, and to ensure AIS is a great match for them, we think it’s very important to get to know each child before they join. Our Admissions Team will contact you to book an appointment. You’ll find more details below for each stage.

Foundation Years’ Programme

Children applying for our Foundation Years’ Programme are invited to a play session where we can understand your child’s development as well as your aspirations for their education.  These sessions are very relaxed, there are no hidden tests to pass or fail and no need to prepare your child to perform.

Years 1 and 2

Children will be invited to meet with the registrar to give us a better understanding of their speech and language development. Year 2 applicants will be assessed on their reading and writing.  We’ll also need a copy of your child’s last school or nursery report.

Key Stage 2 and 3 (Years 3 to 9)

Applicants will be asked to take our admission assessments designed to measure academic readiness for the year your child is applying for. We’ll also need a copy of your child’s last report for a broad overview of their capabilities.

Overseas Applications

If you currently live overseas, we will do our best to process your child’s application based on their most recent report.
