We offer all our students from Key Stage 2 (Year 3) upwards, the unique opportunity to learn to sail as part of their academic timetable.
We see watersports as an important part of a child’s learning and development. Sailing and kayaking provide experiential learning opportunities and encourage the development of important life-skills such as confidence, resilience, determination and empathy. After the children have enjoyed their preliminary sailing course, they are invited to participate in a sailing and kayaking Saturday regatta.
Our Secondary pupils enjoy sailing as part of their PE curriculum, working towards GCSE Sailing and Kayaking, Duke of Edinburgh and Assistant Instructor Training, in addition we offer a Secondary Watersports CCA.

We are very excited to be able to offer 2 day powerboat level 2 qualification, under the RYA scheme. Level 2 is a National Powerboating Certificate and is often regarded as the driving licence of the sea. In fact, many regard this as the world standard of powerboating. During this course, you’ll learn boat handling and seamanship in a powerboat. Amity only offers this course for adults aged 18 years and over.
