The teaching and learning at Amity International School have been designed to engage our students and encourage them to excel academically, intellectually and socially.

At the core of our thinking is the adage “Tell me and I’ll forget; show me and I may remember; involve me and I’ll understand.”

Research shows that inquiry-based learning increases student creativity, independence, and problem solving skills, whilst improving student achievement. Our students will benefit from an inquiry- based form of teaching where subjects are connected within projects that allow them to formulate questions, investigate widely and then build new understanding, meaning and knowledge.

Our systematic approach to teacher-guided inquiry provides opportunities for students to:

  • Develop skills they will need all their lives
  • Learn to cope with problems that may not have clear solutions
  • Deal with changes and challenges to their understandings
  • Shape their search for solutions, now and in the future
  • Master the content and skills expected of them at each level of their education
